Im installing radiant floor heating in a 900sqft basement in Toronto Canada. I have an existing 60 gal water tank that's mid-life.

Im unsure if I should install a combi-unit or a dedicated boiler (high efficiency wall unit) and keep the 60 gal tank. My considerations are loss in water pressure with the combi-unit, upfront cost and medium term operating costs.

Its a 3 bath house, 2 adults, 2 children. Water pressure ~70psi at main with 3/4" service.

Thanks for your thoughts

You can have both, ideally keep the 60 gallon HW storage for the three bathrooms but rig the combi to heat it as well as provide instantaneous supply for say less demanding HW outlets like the kitchen.

Welcome to the forum, did you decide what to do?
