So the pressure on our Ferroli combi boiler is weird. I've done some reading and found that (I think) cold pressure should be around 1.5bar and hot temp should be around 2bar? Thing is, mine has a massive range. Mine has to sit about 0.5bar cold because that takes it up to 3 bar when its hot, if I was to leave it at 1.5bar cold then it would shoot way up towards 4bar when hot. Why does mine have this massive difference between hot and cold pressures? I'ts annoying keeping it down at 0.5bar because if it drops even slightly below that it wont come on and i have to let a little more water into the system to get it back to 0.5bar.

Any help welcome. Thanks.

I am not gas, but this is a common fault & you need it fixed in a service. Your boiler is unable to accommodate the extra pressure when it heats. Get an engineer out.

edit, - I should have added that try posting a request for some of the gas guys on here local to you to come out & sort it for you.

Ok I might resort to that but I posted on here to see if it was something I can maybe fix myself if its a common fault / replaceable part.

Worst problem you have is owning a ferroli boiler, could be a simple fix or you may have to get a new part fitted, how old is boiler ??

It's not an unusual fault. It's just not a diy repair.

You need a gsr.
