hi.how is the best way to tap into a combi boiler to power a mixer shower

Why not? If its a power shower you can't but a mixer shower you can and he did ask to power a mixer shower. If you just tap into your hot and cold supply it should be ok, you need to check your mixer is ok with combi boilers, nearly all are but you might be unlucky.
