hi

can anyone help i have a worcester combi boiler. they water gauge is always below 1...we have looked under the floorboards but we cant find a leak...any advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks

How often do you have to top it up? does the pressure rise much when it's on?

hi mike

thanks for answering

i havent topped it up i wouldnt know how to do that...since it was installed it goes from 0.5 to 1.0 at the highest

thanks

If you haven't topped it up it's not leaking. Ideally it should be on about 1 bar when it's cold so have a look at the instructions and see if you can see how to top it up. Alternatively get the engineer to do it and show you how next time it's serviced

Just spoke to my husband, he tops it up 2 to 3 times a week to 1 bar and pressure rises about 1/2 of 1 bar when its on

anyone got any idea ?

Expansion vessel has an internal leak for a guess ( i am not a plumber). The leaking water is vented externally so you may not notice it. I had the very same problem with a worcester boiler and changing the vessel cured the pressure problem.

hi thanks

i called the guy out who fiited it and he found a leak under the house

thanks again
