Hello, my first post.Changing a kitchen hot tap washer, couldn't stop the flow after closing combi mains valve.Could there be a large loop going around the loft I hadn't accounted for? Water continued flowing for several minutes without ceasing from all downstairs H.W. taps.
Advice appreciated. Thanks, Dean

Hi Dean welcome.

Is the combi a Vokera? Found quite a few of these have had broken cold water inlet valves.

Have you tried turning off the cold water to the property? Bit OTT but may be necessary.

Are you sure you closed the correct valve?
Try turning the mains to the premises off.

thanks JAP&H and mountainman. Boiler's not that old so made mistake of assuming
all's ok. Lady of the house suggested on my return that I turn MAIN stopcock off.
Got to follow customer's orders ( sometimes!).Great forum, thanks again.
