Hi all, I've got a major headache with a combi for combi install. Currently there is a ideal mini C28 restricted to 11 litres a minute hot water installed in the customers house and it needs replacing.
Upon taking measurements for the suitability of a combi in the property he had 22 litres a minute and 2.3bar static pressure at the kitchen mains. I thought this was really good but when you open the hot taps upstairs and downstairs the hot water doesn't even make it upstairs! The owner wants to get another combi put in (he's just moving in and doesn't know how poor the combi performance is) but I don't want to put in the new boiler and then have the whole problem of hot water barely making it upstairs!
Again as a recap.......at the kitchen there is a roaring 22litres a minute at 2.3 bar static. Am I being really stupid?? Is this rubbish pressure for a combi??? Thinking of putting in green star 38CDi classic as he wants an extra bathroom. Can't do that if the performance is going to be rubbish. PLEASE HELP!!!
