Hello,

I have an old computer which I intend use as an always on server. I also have a pantry style cupboard in my kitchen which would be an ideal place for the server as it is cool, ventilated, has a plug socket and is made of brick so sound insulated.

The only catch is the gas meter is also in this cupboard. Is it safe/allowed to put the server in this cupboard?

Thanks
Steven

Yes,keep the mains supply and psu at least six inch from gas meter and pipe. The rest is only 5 to 12volt dc.
Access to ecv and meter at all times.
