Hi,

Is there any advantage / disadvantage of a bottom inlet over a side inlet on a concealed cistern? Looking at a Grohe Adagio model if that makes any difference which will be housed in a 600x300 cabinet.

Also is a dual flush option of any real use? Does anybody ever really use the 3L option?

Thanks.

Grohe is a cracking cistern, i think you have your cupboard size wrong at 600 x300. Duel flush .... Nah . Bottom or side entry usually depends on size of cupboard. Personally i much prefer side entry, not into bottoms at all , lol lol.

Side entry all the way if there's space. Much, much easier and quicker to service/replace the fill valve when the time comes.

Agree side entry

Bottom entry are a pain for access if you have to replace

Cupboard is definitely 600 wide and 300 deep. Ordered the side entry Grohe with a nice looking air button ( which as a bonus will match the Grohe tap and shower I've also got on order)
Thanks for the advice everyone - think my entire room has been put together with recomendations from here, Mira flight tray, Roman enclosure, Grohe shower value and now cistern oh and not forgetting the McAlpine clicker waste!

All new toilets fitted have to have duel flush to comply with British standards that's all, and id go with side entry too just makes it easier for maintenance.

Good idea on the side entry. Makes life easy for maintenance which these days is forgotton a lot
