Its really bugging me, I’ve ripped out countless of these exact showers. But now I need to repair one, I have no idea what it is! It’s fitted a lot in houses dated around the 90’s.

If anyone has any clue that be great.

No I haven’t taken the cartridge out to measure it yet, just thought I’d chance it here, some one must recognise it!

Thanks

Stu

Sounds like you need to change the thermostatic cartridge (19 in pic).
Ideal Standard Wittlich 3/4" Thermostatic Cartridge D 08 - S960134nu | IDL-S960134NU

But I had one, (a few years back mind you) that randomly decided to give you what water temp 'it' decided every time you turned it on.

turned out to be the plastic teeth on the gears slipping on the brass (16 in Pic)

not turning the 1/4 turn cartridge on properly.

I changed the gears and the spindle in the end (for peace of mind) (15&16 in pic)

Would probably check that first before ordering the cartridge as it's quite expensive.

The one (who said only...) good thing about Trevis (there is no apostrophe as it's the plural) is that they are pretty easily identified.

Sure beats the faceless tat imported by all and sundry

If it is the cogs mate let me know and I will check the garage. I may still have a set.

Cheers gents! Very helpful, yes it’s a pretty distinctive beast.

Will let you know @Harvest Fields

I am hoping once I have repiped and replaced the old poorly installed shower pump that it will be ok.

I just wanted to see if I can get it ID’d and look up spares before I get back to the job, just incase I need to tackle the inners

Cheers

Stu
