I serviced a boiler yesterday , The external condensate drain was about 5 meters long. It was piped the whole length with overflow (21,5). Although they had no trouble with the recent bad weather we have had and it looked all ok. Although I stated on the certificate that it was NCS. Did I do the coerrect thing ?

MI should help you.
External runs more than 3m in 21.5 should be insulated.
If the boiler does not include a siphon then external run should be done at least in 32mm.
I think you’ve done right thing.

NCS will cover it. Always advise that the condensate pipe is upgraded to at least 32mm or the pipe is insulated, on your job sheet, then when or if the pipe freezes there's no comeback

All external runs should be in 32mm including the section through the wall. AS with all these things it may well never freeze , is it on a warm wall , does it have trace heating etc . You have covered your backside , job done . You did of course tell them you could put it right

Also, MI would tell us to ensure that the discharge of condensate complies with any local regs in force.
