Condensate Pipe into Waste Pipe

Our new boiler ( eventually installed ) is temporarily held up pending the decison on where to discharge the Condensate pipe.

new Boiler is in upstairs Cupboard, and the Flue and condensate exit through the wall over a Single story Extension.
About 3 feet to one side from the exit points is our Waste Stack, where all the bath/shower/Toilet etc flows.. all these point are above the condensate point.
But the Stack Pipe is cast Iron ?..

what to do??? .

My preference is to do the practical/logical method !! despite the cast iron.

Yup the Thorny one is gone!! .. ( still actually buried in the back of the fire place as It still is used( well when its cold ) to hold up the Front gas fire .

Got Worcester Greenstar 18 System boiler.

A neutralizer would be good. will look into it , but as there is about 5 meters in one direction along one wall then 8 more to get past the patio, any soil soakaway might be a bit impractical ? .

How about a neutralizer then into the Stack ??.

Bearing in mind ( according to odd info I've seen) human waste ( yuk ) is about 6 Ph acidic ? and Condestate is 3-5ph ?? . It would take years and years to have any corrosion problems without the neutralizer ? wouldn't it , with addition of being Flushed over many times a day ??
Just trying to be practical here!! ( one of my many failings 😀)

Chris

PS Just waiting for the "busy Busy" Plumber mate to finish off the new Gas run , so I can re-instate all my ruined decoratiing ?.

Sorry ceedy, when I said run into soil,I was abbreviating out of habit, sorry ,I ment soil stack/stack pipe which you have close by not run round to soil/earth 😀

Do i understand correct? Did you say the bathroom waste would be above any connection of condense pipe into soil stack? If so then you are fine to connect into soil stack as the bathroom waste will flush it.

If it`s below the toilet it will be flush frequently so not a problem, you can drill into cast iron soil pipe ,it does take a few hole bits though..

Hit the nail on the head really there Ceedy, some of the cleaners etc that you put down it will do more damage, it should be ok for years.
I have seen condense pipe run in 22mm copper though, it lasts for about 6mnths.

Yup spot on..
The condensate will enter the stack about 3 feet below the bathroom/ lav etc entry points so will get a good washing all the time !! .

To me seems a no brainer rather than my plumbers preferred option of running the pipe around 2 walls, about 20 feet long and into next doors PVC stack ..

Your post certainly raises a question regarding the competancy of the installer..why was the condensate issue resolved prior to installation.

Ensure you comply with the requirements in part H of the building regulations and local water authority rules and you will be fine.

errm! wouldn't you plan and resolve prior to starting then ? 😉🙄
nowt wrong with my installer ! done a dam good job .

Errmm2! Wasn't all this covered then ?

The installer wanted to run a long pipe into the neighbour Plastic Stack. and I don't like loads of external pipes , and preferred a much shorter run into my cast iron stack, installer preferred the plastic as its , (1) easier to drill , and (2) safer in the ( very!! ) long run ( timewise ) with regard to supposed corrosion ?.

A soak away is possible but needs a bit of patio ripped up !! so unlikely !
