Can the condensate be run into a cast iron soil pipe or rainwater down pipe?

both, but if it backs up when connected to a soil pipe things could turn messy :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Had a call out the other day after a heavy rain storm, condensate pipe was plumbed into the rain water downpipe, this was blocked when the rain washed a load of moss and leaves into the pipe causing the condensate pipe to back fill into the boiler, result...Boiler full of rain water!
