opened up a floor in the btahroom of a client to fix a leak, and noticed a lot of condensation gathered on the cold feed. the house in general seems to suffer with condensation.
the cold feed is next to (2") away from the hot feed, and about 2 foot away from nearest central heating pipes (microbore).
there is also a section of lead remaining on both cold and hot, which at the copper tails is lot of condesation.
any ideas as to haow to cure it?

yeah lag the pipes. if the house suffers badly, maybe you could put some insulation in the floorspace where the pipes run. badly insulated houses are bad to work in cos sometimes you dont know if you have a leak or not.

thanks for that. i have since found out that they had cavity wall insulation last year, and that the air vent into the bathroom has been blocked by the stuff they inject.

i will suggest lagging (the wifes right again, she suggested that).
i also suggested an air brick into the floor space.

thanks for your reply

yes it took me time to decide whether there was a leak or not.

i did replace a tee section that had been badly soldered becuse it was wet thru, and it was dripping thru the ceiling at that point. that has now all dried up so i think it's resolved that issue, but there were condensation beeds forming all aroung the new section.
i will reccomend lagging.

they are also having a new feed coming into the house, so this section wont have the mains fed cold coming thru.
