is it legal to run the condensate in to the spigot on a washing machine trap under the sink ?

Yes it is legal/not against any by laws to run condensate into washing machine spigot in trap under sink,a few manufactors show this run in thier installation manual
I would not do it though and think it is bad practice, this is mainly because when joining to a waste run I like the added water trap protection,as if condensate trap in boiler cracks or leaks then you will have gas fumes coming back up the sink on spigot set up,also if trap blocks up ,the customer puts a unblocking agent down to clear, you are then mixing chemicals together, not knowing result and as near to sink waste could splatter back, some would say the condensate helps to keep trap clear though :)
I just think all round far better to connect other side of traps

I've done it on plenty of installs don't see a problem.I've also replaced elbows for tees and used bungs,no probs providing it's solvent weld and has the right fall.
