Confused with shower screen

Is it wanting you to screw in to the tray?

Any one ever drill/screwed a screen in to a shower tray? doesn't seem right.

looks like something screws on the the door bottome edge maybe a stop or spacer to stop doors clashing?cant be onto the tray

Can't see the pic but I have fitted glass (frameless) screens that require a hole drilling through tray
