Connecting to cast iron waste

hi

I had a leak in kitchen at point where 40mm plastic connected with 110mm cast iron (spigot?). The cement was crumbling away. I removed old stuff now looking to reconnect. Tried this - https://www.NoLinkingToThis/p/mcalpine-drain-connector-110mm/3502v - but too large, internal opening is 90mm. Should I forget connector and re- cement? If so, what mix.

this should fit McAlpine 4 inch to 3½ Pan Connector Reducing Extension - Plumbers Mate Ltd

and then your adapter inside

you can cut the red extension to fit your adapter eg shorten the length
