I have an old Viner cast iron high level bell cistern, with a lead flush pipe. My customer wants to keep the property old traditional style. Some of the internals have decade over the years. I know with modern high level cisterns the flush pipe is internal of the siphon. My question is will a modern siphon connect onto the nut on the lead pipe and seal? as it wont go inside. If I have to change the flush pipe, I will have to replace the toilet. Plastic pipe will not have the same angle bend at the bottom into the cone. I was thinking, I would remove the cistern and try and connect a siphon just to see, but asking you bunch would save the exercise. Thanks.
