Hi, heating engineer here trying to fix my toilet.
This toilet is constantly running into the bowl, which part will need replacing? or is it just a seal?

Its from the Bathstore, will I need to get the same parts or are they interchangeable?

Thanks

Hi, another heating engineer here hoping to help.

Is the thing overflowing or just running through like it's not stopped flushing properly ?
If it's the later it will be the washer on base of flush mechanism.
Some mechanisms ( most actually ) twist and come out but some you need to take it out of cistern ( if it's close coupled the cistern needs to come off) the washer may be available at plumbers merchant if not you'll need to replace the mechanism!

Sorry to waffle, hope I've made some sense

adjust the float of the fill valve with a posi drive/phillips/crosshead screwdriver and or adjust the integrated overflow outlet by pulling it up a few clicks.

Thanks for the replies.

To clarify, it is not the overflow. The water shuts off at the right point, it seems like its just kind of dripping out of the bottom.

Thanks

Sometimes the flush valve (large part in middle) can be removed and the washer cleaned, or reversed to cure it. Just be aware that some flush valves stick open and allow water to keep flowing into pan.

Sorry for misunderstanding the o p

You may just have to turn off the mains, separate the close coupled cistern and remake everything (all the joints) again.

I always use LSX although many manufacturers say don't use sealant at all, which is fine as long as nothing is disturbed during the install.

it is a nuisance though for sure.

If its not the internal overflow it is definitely the flush valve.

Thanks. Still haven't got round to actually doing it but I will this coming weekend, maybe
