Hi I wonder if someone could advise me please.
I have a steel heated towel rail (central heating type) and want to convert it to electric only.
I have read on the web that you can fill the towel rail with water and anti-freeze and just add an element to convert.
As the electric ones are usually oil filled, I wondered if they would be efficient filled with water?
Has anyone done this successfully?
Is it possible to buy the oil? Not sure what type of oil it would be, i've googled it and nothing comes up.
Any advise would be gratefully received
Thank you

To be completely Honest you need someone who knows what there doing to fit this. You can use water with some inhibitor but you need to allow for expansion in the radiator.

We just do as manufactures reccomend which usually
is water and works fine,

did my own and just used water it works fine ,obviously make sure electrics are done correctly or consult a electrician

water, anti-freeze, inhibitor.
allow for expansion per volume to wattage/rad size.

most of all fit correct heating controller, dont just plug it in!!!.
