one of my jobs tomorrow to remove existing f & e and change to sealed system. MI's state they like the vessel fitted on negative side of pump (flow), but i was wanting to fit to return (no valves or restrictions) just wondered why they would state on flow rather than return as i thought less heat on vessel surely longer life?

what boiler is it and if mis say put on flow you put on flow, but yea ive always put them on return

worcester are on return
villant are same as ideal and baxi

the picture in that download also shows the cold water connection
via a hose pipe and outside tap???
