doing a job at the moment, the existing copper heating pipes have threaded ends/elbows (just like m.i) and the wall thickness is around 2/3 mm thick.
i reckon the house was built around 1950's but this type of pipe was apparently installed between 1900 and 1930 or am i incorrect?.

my mate said it was '20' something copper, can anyone remember the correct name for this system?.

😕😕😕

Hi, Have not come across it on whole domestic systems, however on back boilers and alike is was sometimes used for the F and R from boiler to the outside of chimney breast. Any scrap will fund a few largers. Good Luck

Have seen it, removed it and weighed it in 😉 on occasion, but it's not very common.

it is called 20 thread i believe a foot length weighs about a pound in 15mm or 1/2 inch. the house is a large 5 bed in a good area. the only problem is some druggies broke in and ripped the lot out tanks n all exept under floor boards, just before the new tennants paid for the property. lol.

Hi Martin The Trent Bridge Inn has it upstairs, you can get brass solder on sockets to 15mm from cooper and berrys.
