im an apprentice, currently have completed my nvq level 2 plumbing seeking guidence on wether to put myself through a gas course, i do want to do the gas but on a 10 week course with not great experience in gas will you be taught enough to pass the course? rather than pay 2 grand to attempt it i was wondering what the best way to go about it is
thanks

Personally I don't believe you will take it in in just 10 weeks particularly with no real experience with GSR. Took me 1 year 2 evening per week 'training' and on top of that reading, research etc at least 2-3 nights per week. Didn't rush just to pass but learned the subject to pass and continue to learn.

it was initially but the college changed the course i cant remember the actual course code but the nvq was included

Sorry just read first 3 words of your original note...I'm an apprentice..that the work part answered!
If your employer is GSR'd then I'd work with him, learn and gain experience (usually the biggest issue) and enrol. What you pay and how quickly you complete is your choice.

2 year night course 2 nights a week mate

so if you took two years for the plumbing, why think of attempting the gas in 10 weeks??
the plumbing is a much easier course than gas.
it's your decision, some have made it work for them,
but there are so many posts on this forum of people who have taken the quick course to be left with next to nothing at the end of it as far as and qualifications and considerably poorer
don't try to rush through it, take the time to let it sink in and make sense not just on paper but also with application of what is being learned.
