Hi all, I know this is going to sound odd but this is the problem. I live in a bungalow so great for running the pipe work in the loft. I need to put a rad on a wall but I can't drop the pipes from directly above. I can come down a nearby wall then run horizontal. This is great until I need to turn an internal corner. Chasing the walls is not a prob but just wondering what is the best way to get a tight bend and still hide it in the wall. Thought about dropping down to 8mm but been scared off as the rest of the system is 15mm. Any ideas welcome.

for one rad you can probably drop to 8mm, whats the size of rad ?, even with an 8mm pipe bender your radius is still about an inch, so just in the corner of the chase you would have to chisel out a good 2 inches (to allow for pipe protection)

Am i missing something here? Wouldnt a good old fashioned Elbow do the trick?

dont understand why cannot come out of loft.
never seen a roof short of the walls before?.

i thought the reason for suggesting bends was that due to reducing to 8mm pipe allready cutting down on flow resistance and didnt want to reduce anymore !

there wont be a prob with reducing for one rad, or a major restriction in pressure loss. go for an elbow. if its difficult to get in, pre solder before putting into position.

ps. put the bend on the right way, you dont want to find you have soldered it looking up instead of down (lol)

Thanks for all the help, the reason I can't just drop down from the loft is that I have created an opening, going wall to wall but have left a one metre high section up from the floor to create a partial devider. All a bit of a pain but wifes idea, what more can I say.
