I am looking around for the cost of copper 15 22 & 28 now the cheapest I can find 15mm for is 34.00/ 30m, is this about the norm?

Cheers

Copper is a commodity like gold, silver, wheet ect and the price goes up and down with the market,This month it is higher than the last few months and with its double head top price this month will probably point to a fall over the next few months
Anyway the point is,if you want the best prices, you are best to ring round as someone who got their tube in last month will be cheaper than someone who has just got some tube in and likewise price regarding size will depend when they stock up on the differant sizes

You've also got to be careful where the tube comes from. Foreign tube can be difficult to work. I always use yorkshire tube.

You could save a bundle if you buy 15mm & 22mm polybutylene, but be sure to tell the guy at the counter exactly what its for and the length planned and bear in mind plastic pipe expands when hot so youll need to allow for that, ie incorporate an expansion loop or two. Youll still need some copper pipe where its liable to get damaged ie visible. But this is good for laying under floors. dont forget plastic pipe inserts and to pressure test the system for leaks before relaying the floor! Hope that
helps!

In South Africa we are moveing away from copper as it is stolen all the time. We have come across a pipe by the name of Ginde pipe a German product. Easy to use and no theft at all. A really fantastic product

Buy British every time, yes prices change every day sometimes and its on the increase at the moment.
