Couldnt get Danfoss to work

Does anyone know why i couldnt get the danfoss TP500M Si prog room stat to work ?

I have just had a new boiler put in today and i ran the cabling for the stat (4 and 1). We used only the brown and grey wires and wired them in the right right of the console (comm and the other one i cant remember).

Apparently i need a 240v stat, so tomorrow i will have to get a new one in, but i thought i would ask on here to see if we have done something wrong. I will also ring danfoss tomorrow.

This stat was used on my UFH in the kitchen, but i swapped it for a honeywell and so is a spare i have knocking about. So today i came to use it in a new system on a rented prop.

I still think it is usable and think maybe the plumber got it wrong.

should be the same - the 240v going through it (the stat) should come from the programmer when its calling for heat..

if you have a 4 wire stat whys your plumber using 2 wires? you need live in live out neutral and earth if its 240v

doesn't it need 240v mains connection as well?

yes it does my bad. the tp5 needs 3 wires connected 1 is com, 2 is off and 3 is on

Spoke to danfoss and we do need the neutrsal connecting.

Also need a link between live and comm. Their booklet is very unclear.
