Been called to a job this week and the customer wants all heating pipes re clipped as they creak every morning when the heating kicks in. At the moment they are clipped using the nail type clips down to the joists upstairs. What's the best way to resolve this? The pipes are not touching.

Is it copper or plastic?

Plastic pipe expand a lot more and if theres no clearance for expansion that can be issue. When laying pipes wrap them in lagging. Normally sort problems of pipes creaking.
