curved rads for bay window

hi, I am hoping to fit a curved rad in my bay window, I have googled it and found a few companies that do it. Does anyone have any experience of these and what to look out for?? I get the impression that the heat output might not be great but I have a coal fire in the room which we use , so the rad would not be the only heat source !!!

someone else asked the same question about 3 months ago and posted a good source of suppliers etc, it will be in the central heating sect.

they are a pain make sure whoever is doing the job gets the template spot on you cant take them back,a lot of indepandant plumb merchants will be able to get rads curved for you ,we did one last year cost 140 to have it curved

Also check the rad guaranttee as the last one I had rolled to fit a bay developed a leak on the weld after six months. Rad manufaturer said stress during rolling so did not want to replace.

An open fire draws the heat from the radiator up the flue and cools the room down,

Curving a radiator is no big deal for a welding fabricating workshop most of them have a set of rolls which is the machine that does it.

As for stressing the origional weld get them to grind it off and reweld it.
