A question about the earlier posting about cutting waste pipe with nylon string.
Has anyone cut 110mm soil pipe using string ? I had to cut a new branch into a stack the other day, access to the pipe was very tight, and it was around 10mm from the wall ,so the string method would have been great if it works.

Get yourself a cable saw. This is the best way and faster then friction burning a pipe.

yeh,
the nylon is just a cheap alternative solution, some to keep in the van just in case. it works but better to get one of the wire cutters as well.
by the way, the orange nylon you get on crab lines is good.
