I fitted my first one of these just before Christmas and apart from the refrigeration side of things it was just the same as a standard combi swap. The boiler foot print on the wall is the same as any combi although it does stand off the wall about 180mm more than the average combi. I have only every installed heat pumps on traditional systems (mainly mitsubish ecodan) but I really do think this option will be the future especially with the FIT time will tell
