"Damp proofing"

Removed two rads for a woman without having the time/inclination to ask why. Remember it was a solid wall. She now says she's had 'damp proofing' done and needs them reinstalling. Excuse my ignorance but what does that involve and does it have any implications for re-hanging?

Depends on the method of damp proofing some use a chemical in the wall and requires special sealing fixings etc

Normally get a tube of gear to squirt in the hole once you've drilled the hole.

the guy who did it recommended sanitary silicone in hole.

so i done did that
