It’s been very poorly rolled out but anyone who receives or stores any data that can identify a person has to be complaint with new data protection (GDPR) legislation.
It essentially applies to every business as even writing down a customers name/number would be classed as personal data.
Good couple of days wasted working out what you’ve actually got to do and putting it in place.
It’s always nice to have some more red tape to deal with.
There are fines for anyone that don’t comply with this.

Does data protection law apply to my business?
This self assessment will help sole traders, small business owners and those who are self employed determine if data protection law applies to their business.
