Does anyone know what may cause white deposits on the top of a Fountain Water Softener? The customer may have over filled the salt on one or two occasions, and I'm wondering if that caused it.
There are no signs of leaks, and the machine is still producing softened water. I have attached a photo below.

Anyone come across this or have any suggestions? IMAG0958.jpg
