Hi guys, I have got to put in a combi boiler for my sister. At the moment she doesn't have any central heating so I'm installing new rads and everything from scratch. At the moment she uses an immersion for hot water along with an aga in the kitchen which is oil fed. She wants to still use the aga for cooking and to keep it as a feature of the kitchen.

I was wandering what I need to to do the aga flow and returns etc to make it safe? I know they won't me able to use it for hot water anymore.

any help would be very much appreciated.

thanks guys.

Ok thanks. I think I'll get her to get someone in who deals with agas. The new boiler will be gas. I don't really know much about oil. I just wondered if it was straight forward or not.

Remove boiler section is the best way, then top up with vermiculite. You will need to adjust the bypass jet acordingly though otherwise will run too hot.

I'm hoping you mean adjust the oil valve drip rate when you say bypass jet, which will need turning down and resetting. make sure when the boiler jacket is removed none of the fluing gaskets are disturbed as can happen to old agas when you pull them about.
