I have a dishwasher I had in storage and it was working perfectly before , I have now moved house and had to get a Drain and water extension hose about 2 ft long to reach to the drainand water outlets , Now the problem is the dishwasher starts its cycle and I can hear water going in but it stops a few minutes after with a water check light , I have tilted the dishwasher and drained thewater out about 3 times , so its not pumping the water out or not all of the water , Now Could it be because of the extension drain hose that the pump is not strong enough topump the water because of the extra 2 ft ? or should it still be able to pump the water out ?

~Hi! thanks for your help!

I basically checked for any blockages and it seems setup right , I decided to check the pump as I have some knowledge about washing machine pumps , This is what I noticed the impeller moves round but not like the magnetic ones I have found in washing machines where they spring round when you turn it ,so not sure if this is right for dishwasher pumps? I have never tested a pump before but there is a pcb board which had 3 terminals so I did a ohm test on each at 200 from my multi meter, it read 79.1 I also did a continuity test by placing the black lead and the red lead on different terminals on the pcb board but heard know sound, I am not sure if this way of testing is right but is this pump dead ?
