Hi all,

Toilet is leaking when flushed from the toilet to cistern seal and its my job to fix it tomorrow.

I'm a graphic designer.... :-/

I know its probably the big rubber seal (spud?) But I don't know what size will fit. I'll have to take it to bits and then take the old seal to the plumbers merchants and stand at the counter like a Muppet.

I'm on my mobile, but if I've done it right this should be a pic of the loo in question:

And idea what type/size thingy I will need?

Yours in eternal thanks,

Jim

can you take a pic of the underside please as there should be a flush pipe (maybe)

spent 3 hours trying to seal one once :(

And did you seal it? Guess it looked good on somebody computer screen in the R&D department. lol

Jim, these have metal brackets that the cistern sits on to take the weight, if you see the brackets under the cistern then warn her indoors that it may not be a 1/2hr job mate.

Your ok mate, new donut seal and away you go if it is leaking from the seal, could try tightening the wing nuts first, they don`t have to be tight tight.

Problem now is so many different sizes and shapes so yes start early and take the old one to the plumbers merchants (not B&Q), expect the new one to look thicker as it`s been compressed for a while. Any name or brand you can see on toilet or cistern?
