DIYer’s question ….. but what is this at back of the toilet under the rim?
am having problem with a full toilet flush. Have changed the cistern valve.
ciuld this be stopping the water getting all around the pan and should it be there!!

Not the best photo, looks like it’s part of the ceramic, or a piece of ceramic. However, yes any restriction in the wc pan inlet would have an impact of flushing.
