I'm installing a new kitchen tap and the existing pipe connection (photo attached) doesn't seem like it will accommodate a flexi pipe connection (photo attached).

I haven't taken it off yet but it looks like a female connection on the copper pipe. So I guess something needs to be added to that. Just don't know what.

I was thinking of taking off the copper pipe all the way to the isolator valve and connect the flexi pipe to that but it's not long enough unfortunately.

Appreciate any help on this matter.

Thanks for answering. Silly question but how do you check if the flex is 1/2"? There's nothing the pipe to say and not sure what to measure. The pipe itself or the connector? Nothing is half inch.
 
Easiest way is to take the flex to the shop will either be 1/2 or 3/8”
