Few years back we had all new radiators fitted and had a lot of the old 8mm microbore pipes replaced with 10mm plastic pipes but I'd say that half the rads are still on 8mm microbore but on short runs. We will be getting a new 34cdi fitted in the next few weeks with a greenstar filter and I'm just wondering if there is any point getting the system flushed seeing as most of the system has been changed. Also would it affect the warranty if it wasn't done? Or would the warranty only be void if it broke down due to sludge?

Depends if the system was treated and topped up as and when required when they were replaced and since but at a minimum it is good practice to at least do a chemical flush when fitting a new boiler.
Newer boilers are very intolerant of contaminants and manufacturers WILL use any excuse to void a warranty
