i am about to construct a conservatory on the back of my house but my boiler is on an internal wall and the flue would extract into the new build. am i allowed to divert the flue to a higher a few inches higher so it clears the new roof. it would mean its sitting between the ceiling and the floor above? moving the boile seems like a massive job... please help

it does sound like it would be better to move the boiler. the flue must be positioned to suit the manufactures instructions. just above a roof is not going to cut it.

contact a local gas safe engineer for advise. oh and welcome to the forum.

As above you're going to need at least 300mm below the flue to any surface with most boilers. If you need an engineer post in the local for a plumber section and there may be someone on here that can help.

Alarm bells ring when i read this type of question - get a gas safe engineer to look at your
plans and PAY him for his advice and fuel - bad installations kill people - their kids etc.

I think that building regs will probablly apply anyway - do not cut corners

Its nice to go to sleep and wake up as a family

You may be able to install a different flue on to your boiler that will cover all the regs. Look at the mi's and see what fluing options they have.
