Has he done that £1600 price? If so is he using like for like? He might be able to get it cheaper, so be it, can’t win them all, leave them to it. You don’t have to justify why one install was cheaper than another.

No he is saying he thinks materials are £1600 and his last boiler was fitted for £350.
Not sure why he isn’t using the last guy 😇

Problem is these sites posting prices

boiler 1100
Flue 100
Maggy with Chems 100
Pump 70

so around 1500 inc
True, but I have allowed for shock arrestor, lime fighter, worcester filter and room stat, lead slate, extensions, 45s, bracketry, ply for the wall and an extra expansion vessel and it turns out he just wants it thrown at the wall from the garden.

did you list all of these

I wouldn’t would just say thank you for the opportunity

Scott your well in price mate stick to your quote if he wants a quality job then that costs I would politely explain that in your opinion it's correct and leave it at that don't waste time on the fool. Kop

This guy comes across as a 'Know it all' type of person.

His expectations are that you will come back to him with a much cheaper quote.

If you can be bothered, re-submit a quote without all the extra stuff you included and price it accordingly.

I bet he will come back to you and say, if you do all things you included in the first quote for the price of the second quote, you can have the job.

All I`ll say is that I would start with the Thank you ....................................... not end with it, as it is it reads Goodbye to me.
