i had one few years ago, customer could smell gas in the kitchen. when i got there it turned out the guy who did her bathroom had also moved her boiler from upstairs to down in the kitchen, where the pipework entered the brick wall they had made a small hole and tried to squeeze the flow return and gas through it, obviousley it was a tight fit so he soldered the elbows on and hammered the pipes into the hole really nice and tight with no sleaving anywhere, sadly the idiot cracked the soldered joint on the gas pipe whilst hammering it in. he never did a tightness test and he wasnt registered, the customer phoned him up while i was there to find out if he was registered to work on gas,
the customer wouldnt give me his details as he told her he had just come out of a heart operation so the stress of this could set his ticker off, bloomin moron, i wish she told me who it was, sadly i couldnt report him as the customer didnt want to pursue the matter.
really does annoy me when idiots play with gas.
