Hi
Can I Please have some advice my Worcester Greenstar combi boiler is 5 years old it had a leak which a bosch engineer fixed but the water was green, he said it needed flushing.
So my question is do you think it needs a powerflush ( quoted £340 ) does a protector make the water green??
Thankyou for your time

Inhibitor (what you’re calling protector) doesn’t turn the water green, and afaik, it would be excessive flux not flushed out. So yes, it would probably warrant a flush, but not necessarily a power one.

Obviously I only have the information provided, and I understand you want to protect your boiler. I would say obtain a 2nd opinion, as you may only need a cleanse and mains flush, which should work out cheaper.
