Does this all need replacing?

Sorry if this isn't an appropriate post for the forum, but we're really unsure where to go with this!

Please see the photos of the plumbing under our bath. They have been taken through the hole made in our bedroom wall.

We've had three plumbers and one electrician with good plumbing knowledge look at this so far. Two have told us that the whole bathroom needs to come out to replace the dodgy plumbing, two have told us that it's fine or "not great but I've seen worse".

Thoughts? Thanks!

It's a bit of a mess but not causing any problems, incorrect trap on bath, but may be possible to replace without removing bath using a HP20 trap, all the other stuff to be done if you upgrade bathroom.

Aslong as it works wouldn't worrie yet

Or if you have the funds and happy with the bathroom, if your happy cut the plastic board off your bedroom wall and replace / make better through it

Shallow seal trap, long run could pull seal from trap, if connected to stack will get smell's back into bathroom

Our downstairs neighbours reported that we were leaking on them. The hole was made in the wall as part of the investigations into the issue. We had a new tap fitted to the bath a month before the leak was reported and suspect that this was the cause, but we got the same plumber back in to investigate the leak, and unsurprisingly he didn't admit fault!

do you have a shower over the bath? could be the sealant leaking

Yeh the floor sloped bud so levelled the timber before the bath went in and it fixed down , the bathroom had a leak under the floor which the tenant was unaware of till her water bill trebled the cause was speed a fit elbow on the water main concreted in the floor the repair bill was over £6000 the tenant had to be put up in a hotel for 3 weeks and it took 5 days to dry the place out with a dehumidifier before I could even start

I wouldn't get paranoid about it.
I've seen decimated hoses, soldered joints that are one tug away from coming apart, push fit fittings under crazy strain, all under mains pressure, yet somehow absolutely no leaks. You can absolutely find tidy looking pipework that leaks.
Your plumbing just looks like the standard mess underneath a bathtub. As per other post though make sure you have house insurance
