plumber in a hurry unblocking plastic waste pipes for wash hand basin in restarant kitchen ,wastes all disapear behind plasterboard, owner giving the hurry up this is costing me money.outside trafic warden eying up van,remove trap funnel in acid,pipe unblocked,trafic warden sayes move or ticket, refit trap test waste works great,just leaving owner sayes stainless steel prep sink waste slow can i pour acid down waste,one eye on trafic warden getting out pad,tip acid down sink waste the lot bubles up sink now has a nice blue etched colour ! "never rush"
 
a mate i know in spain call a Spanish plumber in to unblock sink
here unblock sink but splash the chemical all over the floor
my mate saw the plumber out ,when he return to the kitchen here saw the end effect ,the floor was a right mess

Spanish plumbers tool box more fitting than tools.
 
Yes, a golden rule, never be rushed, you will always loose more money that you make, I used to work for a company who would only give you one job at a time so you did not rush, when that was done they would give you another, as long as you had your hours covered, no problem, they would loose jobs rather than load you up, you could not take the pi## though, can not imagine that happening today
But you do not get paid for go backs from most companies or customers now, so it pays to do the checks
As I mentioned the other day, the job that goes wrong when you are rushing is always the furthest or most inconvenient to get back to
Remember you can be late, just let the customer involved know, give them a ring, keep them informed, what gets peoples backs up, including me and probably you is waiting around not knowing what is happening, especially when they probably have heard all the stories about tradesmen not turning up.
As a friend use to say,its ok to be late ,it gives the customer more time to find his cheque book :D
