Hi fellas, i'm getting a lot of conflicting opinions on this so lets see what you reckon.
I've got to fit a new w/c in a new ensuite and connect into an existing soil stack about 1.5m away. At the moment the stack has one branch (below floor level) serving an existing w/c about 800mm in the opposite direction. "IF" I replace the single branch with a double branch the pipework is simples but is this acceptable. Obviously there is a concern about crossflow but i've had all sorts of opinions along the lines of the fittings are designed to avoid this and they wouldn't make them if they couldn't be used. BTW the pipework going to the w/c's would have a good fall and then a 90 deg bend and up through the floor.
What do you think ?

it is perfectly acceptable! I have fitted many on new build installations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what they are designed for

if worrried about cross flow you could use a 45 degree double branch with a spigot 45 bend in each branch no chance off cross flow. I know terrain do them.
