Drain off cock washer

Hi,

Has anyone seen a drain off washer like this?

Which has come out of this drain off cock:

I’ve changed it for a normal flat washer but the valves still leaking slightly.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

It looks like the right washer , its just been overtightened .
Where did you buy the replacement washer ?

Thank you for your reply. I believe it was a doc washer pack of 10 type A & B flat washers from city plumbing or Travis Perkins.

Sure it should be an MT washer you want to use mate.

You need to clean the valve face where the washer seals against.
If the previous one has been leaking for a while the seat may be badly pitted and the only option then would be to replace the complete D.o.c.

MT = empty e.g. empty the pipework or 'MT' (drain-off/down)

Thanks for all the advise. It’s sorted now.

I still can’t work out what the washer is in my original post, it’s a cross between a dome and a flat washer. I’ve never seen one before.

I suspected you meant MT= empty=draw-off cock washer, but I wondered if you meant, are you sure you want to use a DOC washer mate? Or if MT meant something else. But fine, I get what you meant now, thank you.
