When draining a central heating system, vented and sealed, is it a no-no to do it when the system is hot?

I mean even after the boiler electrics have been isolated so there is no further demand for heat.

I've heard someone say they couldn't drain a system as it was hot, but I drained one (sealed) the other day (after isolating the boiler of course) that was hot and I'm now wondering if I shouldn't have???

No we drain when hot to get sludge out. Just make sure pump overrun has finished to protect hex
