duel fuel burner. must be irreleant if its throwing heat into the boiler. you need to be looking at where the heat is going and why

Well, lets say the burner is making heat. How far away is the heat getting from the boiler?

Is the pump working? If the heat is only getting a short distance, maybe, unluckily the pump has had its day.

That's one poss.

Assume you mean a y plan/3 port valve. This could be a mid position or DHW priority, so if no circuits are getting any heat, its worth checking this out after ruling out the pump.

pump is delivering to radiators but no real heat can be sustaind and if the cellotape around one of the pump joints is anything to go by there may be an air issue. thank you.
