Hello folks, I'm new here and I'm in a spot of bother. Can anyone help me?
In my 20 year old campervan I have a Le Blanc water heater. It works perfectly - or did until I drained it down for the winter and some kind soul tidied up and I've lost the drain plug. Is there anyone out there who can suggest a way around this problem? I have tried emailing Le Blanc but so far no joy. Who might still carry spares for such an old model? If I can't get a spare can anyone advise me of the best way to get around the problem. I do have pics of the heater and a crude sketch of the missing item but they are too big to upload.
Hoping to hear from someone

Welcome to UKPlumbersForums.co.uk whealie. Thanks for introducing yourself.

I have not seen a Le Blanc for years, left the uk market as to competitive and could not make enough on their units
can not remember were plug fitted ? what size thread is it
Should be able to get round it put with out a picy of see hard to make a comment

imho

gotta be a standard thread?
1/4 3/8 or 1/2 try measuring the whole ish and taking measuremebt to merchants or even b&q. try screwing in gently if works by hand, then should be good to ptfe and spanner it!

Thanks to all who responded. I have had no joy so far from Le Blanc but in the meantime I tried a final option - look again - and sure enough the plug was where it should have been all the time. Does anyone know a good opticians forum?
Thanks again for getting involved. I will post if I hear from Le Blanc because I can't be the only person to have this (potential) problem.
Cheers
Whealie
