probably to do with water hardness in your area, get it tested.

welcome to the forum.
as above but if you are buying the cheep £3 ones..dont.
buy the £11 ones instead the s.s ones from a merchant and check the wiring especially make sure all connections are tight as loose wiring can blow them

Think someone does not know about the built in high limit thermostat

No way would you need two new immersion heaters in these cylinders (albion pressurised) every year
They are incloy and last years

You may have a proplem with lime scale in the bottom of cylinder causing bottom immersion to over heat,if this is the case,a aqua vac can be used to remove through immersion heater hole to remove
Have seen one cylinder with 300mm of scale at bottom after two/three years, but that was on 24/7 in very hard water area
bottom immersion often heats water and overheats top immersion if set to high, activating high limit on top immersion

thanks for your replies.
i think this is the problem because when i remove my elements they are always some corrosion on them.
how do i remove the limescale or what ever i have to do?

HAPPY NEW YEAR

as said these imersions have a reset buton on some its so small you could miss it just a pin hole
all imersions have scale on them it dosent stop them working
most of the time if theyve failed youll get continuity from the live to the cylinder wall

thanks for your replies. so what do i have to do. to sort the problem out? i am still bit confused with your replies

Hi tonyt,
Is yours an unvented cylinder ?
If so take the stat out and check resistance across the two element terminals. If its between 18 - 20 ohms its a fair indication the element is good. Your problem could be just the stat ?
